I’m so excited to share this Scottsdale, Arizona Multi-Generational family photo session with you today! When the Loken Family reached out about family photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something so special about family sessions. Seasons of life change so quickly, capturing special memories like these helps to freeze the moment. This family time was photographed to be a keepsake everyone will treasure forever.
This family traveled over 1,800 miles from three states, California, Tennessee, and Georgia to vacation together in Arizona. Celebrations were the theme of their week together. Russ and Tammy Loken observed their Coral Anniversary, 35 years of marriage! Their daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Chris Gray rang in their 10th anniversary. Did you know 10 years was called the Tin Anniversary, symbolizing a marriage of strength and durability? Roxanne Martindale, Russ’s sister, was joyously celebrating retirement and turning 70. John Rainey, Roxanne’s grandson-in-law, is turning 30 this year! Although milestone birthdays are something to look forward to, the birth of his first child will be right around that same date. John and his wife Autumn, Roxanne’s granddaughter, are expecting the arrival of their daughter, Sophia mid-August. This sounds like they might have had a celebration every night of their vacation! Every stage of life is unique and deserves to be captured.
Three generations with several different family groups made for a bit of downtime when others were being photographed. Roxanne brought her travel speaker and played some music, what a great idea! One of the things I enjoyed witnessing is the playful manner in which this family interacted with each other. Zachary Anderson, Roxanne’s grandson was doing a mock Home Shopping Network tv commercial and I could hear the laughter behind me while I was shooting. High props to Chris Gray for keeping his 22-month-old son, Colton, entertained between shots.
Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories in the multi-generational family photo session! If you haven’t figured out yet, these are MY PEEPS! I am super proud to be a part of this family XOXO I look forward to capturing memories of the next time we are all together, and that won’t be soon enough!
Enjoy this little peek into this fun multi-generational family session!
