Photographing this tenth-anniversary session was so dreamy for this Gallatin TN photographer! The desert of Scottsdale, AZ offered up some stunning beauty. We found a perfect path with some greenery not too far from the traditional cactus you’d expect to see in the desert.

When Jessica asked me if I would shoot an anniversary session for her and Chris I was elated! Just wait until you see the passion these two brought with them! How about this is the SAME DRESS she wore at her wedding ten years prior as well! Very impressed that clearly pizza and beer had little to no impact on these two!

I absolutely loved the pop of color that the sunflowers added to the pictures. What can seem like a small detail can be very impactful in your final images. Holding flowers doesn’t have to be just for wedding pictures. We could not have asked for better weather the evening of this shoot. Don’t be like me and touch a cactus! Thank you Chris for knowing exactly what to do and thank goodness it was at the end of the photo session.

Photographing a couple whose marriage is lived-in and comfy, tried and true (and clearly, as with these two, still smokin hot) is really beautiful! The comfort level that anniversary sessions bring is something I’d like to bottle up and pass out to everyone. As a photographer documenting these moments and stories in your lives, my goal is to focus on the emotion. What it felt like to be in love, what it felt like to spend time together, what it felt like to be engrossed in each other and nothing else for a moment in time! Photographs allow you to re-live moments in the most tangible way. It brings me great joy when I can encapsulate these emotions that allow you a medium to reflect on how you felt.
